Arul Illam

The mission of Suman Niketan expanded. A house was secured for the purpose of Arul Illam, the boy’s boarding house at Andersonpet. The Sisters from Suman Niketan community took up this mission of looking after these boys. The boys were admitted to St. Mary’s High School as they grew up. Sr. Mary Celine who started to serve in this mission used to walk all the way across the story field every morning putting her heart and soul into the welfare of these poor boys. A day crèche and a nursery school were also opened there.
