Introduction

Dear Fathers, Sisters, parents and friends, today is the day of rejoicing and thanksgiving for all of us the family of the sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes, as we the novices: Akriti Priya Tirkey, Anisha Ekka, Jenifer Balachandra, Pratibha Evangelin, Princy Sagaya Bhaskar and Roja Mary come forward to offer our lives to God through the Evangelical Counsels of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience, following the example of Jesus Christ,who consecrated himself to the Father through His total self offering. Indeed our hearts are filled with gratitude to the Blessed Trinity for the gift of our call and consecration. Dear sisters the Lord has loved us, walked with us, and guided us during these formative years in the process of discovering and discerning the uniqueness of our Vocation. So today, with deep faith in our consecration in the Divine Love, with conviction we say “yes -we are called and consecrated for the mission of Jesus Christ to establish the kingdom of God with the uniqueness of our Charism of communion." Our Yes given as Commitment, gives us a reason to celebrate and be hopeful. It is by this’ Yes" today we seal our covenant with the lord in the Congregation of the Sisters of St Joseph of Tarbes at the service of the Church and the world.

We are indeed privileged to have our Profession on the feast day of St John of the Cross, a mystic Poet and a Carmelite friar who embodied the values of contemplation, prayer and ardent love for Christ. His life teaches us that Spiritual growth often requires embracing the unknown, letting go of our attachments and trusting in God’s providence. May we be inspired by the life of St John of the Cross to embark on our journey of consecrated life , embracing the Cross and finding the light of divine love.

On this joyous occasion we express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to our beloved parents, brothers, sisters and relatives. Dear parents, it is you who nurtured in us faith, hope and love and encouraged us to respond to the call of God. , it is your love, sacrifice, and generosity which have brought us this day to the alter of God. May God reward you for all your love, care and support. We are grateful to our Superior General, Sr. Jesus Cevallos and her Councilors, Sr. Catherine Charles the Provincial of Bangalore province, Sr Jaya Rani the Provincial of Mysore Province, Regional Superior Sr. Sudha Lakra and their Councilors and all our sisters specially those who have accompanied us. We thank God for the gift of each one of them.

We are deeply indebted to you, all the Formators, for your untiring efforts and keen interest in our growth during our formation. Thank you for your sacrifices, blessings, prayers and close accompaniment in our formative process.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to dear Fr Jose Koyickal SDB for having consented graciously to be the main celebrant to offer this Sacrifice of love. We thank all the priests who are here to concelebrate the Holy Eucharist and to pray for us.

Every Holy Mass in which we participate is our presentation to the Lord. As we participate in this Eucharistic celebration we request you to join with us in our offering and pray that following the spirit of Synodality we grow together, living in communion bearing witness to the life of the Trinity in the World.
